With more than 20 years of operational excellence in port operations, pilotage, safety management systems, operational risk, and government advisory, McGuire Maritime adds deep, practical expertise to our growing regional footprint.
This collaboration further cements SAR Training Australia’s position as a leading Maritime Safety and Security Capacity Building partner in the Indo-Pacific, delivering trusted, high-impact outcomes for our government and maritime stakeholders.
SAR Training Australia represents Australia on the IASARC SMC Certification Committee - 21 Feb 2026
SAR Training Australia acknowledges the outstanding contribution of Mr Hemi Manaena and Mr Philip Fox, who have proudly represented Australia on the SAR Mission Coordinator Standards Committee for the International Association of Search and Rescue Coordinators (IASARC), alongside counterparts from the United Kingdom, United States and Canada.
Their work has played a key role in shaping and defining global standards for SAR Mission Coordinator qualifications and professional competency, strengthening international consistency and excellence across the search and rescue community.

SAR Training Australia Donates to YWAM, Equipping YWAM Hospital Ship with life saving devices - Renewed Jan 2026 (Since Jan 2024)
SAR Training Australia is supporting the YWAM Hospital Ship in PNG with full subscribed InReach Garmin explorers. These devices are accompanying medical teams as they access some of the most remote parts of the globe. Our work is providing greater safety and communications capabilities in support of the lifesaving work that YWAM undertakes and is an ongoing commitment as a result of our capacity building project in PNG during 2025 with the PNG Water Police.
MilSAR wins the Talisman Sabre 2025 SAR Planner Contract
Our sister-brand MilSAR, trusted by the ADF to deliver the Search and Rescue Plan for Talisman Sabre 2025. Exercise Talisman Sabre, consisting of over 35,000 personnel and 19 Nations. MilSAR has established itself as a trusted partner of the Australia Defence Force for multi-national exercise planning and execution.
SAR Training Australia donates to Little Wings - Aug 2025
SAR Training Australia is donating in conjunction with Southpac Aerospace a number of flights for families in need of medical care that would otherwise struggle to access care. This is one of a number of initiatives where we give back to the community. This donation is an ongoing donation as a result of the work we are privileged and honoured to deliver to the Australian Defence Force.

This critical capability has been delivered at the highest stand by our teams for over 17 years. We continue to work closely with the ADF in providing this key sovereign capability.
